Abstract
The problem of teaching the diachronic disciplines, including the Old Slavonic Language, the Comparative Grammar of Slavic Languages, the Historical Grammar of the Russian Language and the History of the Russian Literary Language for students of Russian is up to now an insufficiently studied issue in the Russian and foreign teaching methods. The present paper is an attempt to describe, analyse and evaluate the teaching programs of the Departments of the Russian Language in the Serbian cultural and speech environment in this field. The paper points out the necessity of creating a uniform and optimal system of teaching diachronic disciplines.
