THE ANALYSIS OF THE PROGRAMS FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE FIELD OF COMMUNICATIONS (The catalogue of professional development programs)

Abstract
The aim of the research presented in this paper is to examine the attitudes of the teachers working in primary schools about accredited programs for professional development in the field of communications and to emphasize the importance of those programs for the improvement of the teaching practice and the personal professional development of teachers. Data collection was carried out using a survey. The instruments included a questionnaire and an evaluation scale. The sample included in this research is systematic and it includes 208 teachers. The results demonstrate how well the teachers know the accredited programs, if they understand the importance of programs for the improvement of their teaching practice and their personal professional development, and also demonstrate the absence of the results in the domain of self-evaluation and the application with the aim of improvement and personal professional development, which is one of the characteristics of the old school system and the methods employed before the reforms.
